Apply for Child Support
You can quickly and easily apply for child support online. Before you start, view our application checklist to help you prepare to apply. There is a one-time $6 fee to apply for child support services.
The application should take about 30 minutes or you have the option to save your application and complete at a later time.

You may not be able to use the online application if:
- You already have an existing, or previous case between you and the other parent you would list on this application.
- You or the other parent reside outside of New Jersey.
- There are pending or existing court actions to establish or enforce support for your child(ren) in New Jersey or any other state.
- You do not know where the other parent lives (the application requires their home address).
- The child(ren) does not reside with you the majority of the time.
- You are currently receiving or previously received Work First New Jersey/Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (WFNJ/TANF) and/or Medicaid for the child(ren) you are applying for.
- Print the application and required court forms. Email the forms to Judiciary Electronic Document Submission (JEDS) or mail them to the Family Division in the county in which you reside.
- Call 1-877-NJKiDS1 (655-4371) to have the application and court forms mailed to you.
